JOOUST Council and University Management Board members have been taken through a two days Capacity Building Workshop organized by the Africa Center of Excellence in Sustainable Use of Insects as Food and Feeds (INSEFOODS) at the Grand Royal Swiss Hotel in Kisumu .

The workshop which started off on the 5th of March 2020 was meant to build capacity on ACE II INSEFOODS project and share its progress since inception. It was officially opened by the Chairman of Council Amb. Steven Loyatum who congratulated the Center for INSEFOODs’ staff for a job well done over the past years and also challenged the university to pay more attention to the project and use it as a stepping stone to venture into more opportunities.

The Vice Chancellor Prof. Stephen Agong’ also expressed his satisfaction with the INSEFOODs Project considering the milestones the project has achieved under the leadership of the Director, Prof. Darius Andika.
